Refurbishment of a semi-detached Victorian villa focusing on the creation of a double reception room with traditional detailing beside modern technology.
Taking the room back to the original brickwork, the external walls and suspended floor were fully insulated to meet current building regulations. New hardwood sash windows were installed as well as decorative coving, skirting boards and architraves and reclaimed marble fireplace to give back the room’s traditional backdrop.
Extra-wide and long floorboards were installed, reclaimed from old barn pitch pine beams with the old nail stains left for character.
